Dr. Norman has been practicing Bariatric Medicine (the medical specialty of weight loss) in South Carolina for over forty years. He is the fifth child of two Wesleyan Methodist Ministers of Swedish descent and was born in Dayton, Ohio. As a medical student he had grants in drug research and established a medical clinic in Haiti with his missionary nurse sister.
Dr. Norman’s wife of 45 years, Nan Nease, is a USC graduate in English and Psychology, Certified Fitness Trainer, former Mrs. South Carolina America, daughter of a US Air Force Lt Colonel and Italian mother. She is the lead diet and hormone counselor with a special interest in menopause and women’s health issues.
The couple moved to Myrtle Beach in 1975 with a passion for health and innovation in medicine. They have three daughters and five cherished grandchildren.
Dr. Norman holds two degrees, PhD in Pharmacy, and PhD in Medicine from the Medical university of South Carolina. He and Nan have studied for 25 years with the American Academy of AntiAging Medicine and have designed one of the most unique and affordable practices in America.

Dr. Norman opened his practice of Family Medicine in 1975 and was shocked to see the health implications of overweight and over-medicated patients. He and Nan began designing EXERCISE AND DIET PRESCRIPTIONS and thus was the beginning of MYRTLE BEACH DIET.
In 1999 they added the innovation of BIOIDENTICAL HORMONE TESTING AND TREATMENT to fulfill the positive effects of healthy weight loss. DR. NORMAN’S PERSONALIZED APPROACH TO EACH INDIVIDUAL continues to receive great support from the Myrtle Beach community as well as throughout the nation.
Nan is the lead diet and hormone consultant with Dr. Norman’s Myrtle Beach Diet & Regenerative Rx with a special interest in menopause and women’s health issues. Nan was born into a military family serving in Italy, Greenland and the USA, a multicultural background with an Italian mother and USAF fighter pilot. She attended high school in Charleston, WV, and graduated with a BA Degree from the University of South Carolina in English and Psychology. She is a certified fitness trainer, an affiliate of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine’s Fellowship Program. She was a two time first runner up and fitness winner in Mrs. SC International, and Mrs. South Carolina America with awards in fitness, congeniality and community service in women’s health. Their family’s Christian faith is the heart of their Myrtle Beach Diet & Regenerative Medicine mission. She and Dr. Norman have three daughters and five cherished grandchildren.
